This on-the-go utensil set is is perfect for the purse, bag, car or at work for the eco-conscious who want to reduce plastic use every day.

Coastal redwoods, or sequoias, are among the oldest and tallest living things on Earth, and are magnificent to stand amongst. One of these forest giants is embroidered here against the outline of their primary home, California.

The set contains a pair of reusable bamboo chopsticks, knife, fork, large spoon and teaspoon, as well as a stainless steel straw, straw cleaner and one of my eco-friendly hemp napkins. All of this fits in a detailed embroidered zippered pouch to keep it all handy while adding a touch of delicate beauty.

The bamboo utensils are Moso bamboo which is a very durable kind of bamboo, making it excellent for use over and over. Moso is not a part of the panda's habitat or diet, and so the harvest of it doesn't endanger the panda.

Bamboo utensils should be hand washed with a mild detergent, as a dishwasher can dry out the wood too much.

The straw is made of food-grade high quality 18/8 stainless steel and is 8mm wide, which makes it great for both drinks, juice and thicker smoothies. Both the straw and the cleaning brush can be mashing washed.

The napkin is machine embroidered, with delicate details on quality eco-friendly fabric. Made from hemp and organic cotton, the napkin is soft and durable. Hemp absorbs moisture well, dries quickly and wears beautifully, getting softer with use and wash. It also wrinkles minimally after the first few washes.

The pouch measures approximately 9.2 x 5.2 inches. The napkin measures 16 x 16 inches and the embroidery is located in the right left corner of the napkin, and it can be machine washed warm and tumble dried hot.

Pouch fabric: 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton.

Napkin fabric: 45% hemp, 40% organic cotton and 15% recycled polyester.

Pouch and napkin are made in my studio in the Northern Sierras, just north of Lake Tahoe.
